Image processing basics with the VISOR® vision sensor

Discover the exciting world of image processing!

In our course, you'll not only receive an introduction to the basics of optics and lighting but also learn the key details about our VISOR® vision sensor. You'll learn how to master image processing tasks effectively, set up vision sensors, and configure applications using modern tools like AI. Hands-on exercises will provide you with valuable experience. Additionally, you'll learn how to seamlessly integrate the device with higher-level interfaces and gain valuable insights into visualization and archiving techniques.

  • Target group: Integrators and maintenance workers with or without machine vision knowledge.
  • Products used: VISOR® vision sensor
  • Previous knowledge: Working with a pc
  • Minimum number of participants: 2 persons
VISOR® Inspection

VISOR® Inspection

Detecting and checking objects with the VISOR® Object (Color)

In this training, the focus is on solving image processing tasks related to object recognition.

You will learn to calibrate the system to metric units and familiarize yourself with key functions-from contrast detectors to geometric area detectors. The topic of "color" will also be covered. Additionally, you will gain insights into direct result processing on the device and learn about communication at the fieldbus level, such as Profinet. The image archiving functions of the VISOR® vision sensor will complete the training.

  • Target group: Integrators and maintenance staff with machine vision knowledge (e.g. by taking part in a VISOR® Basic training course).
  • Products used: VISOR® Object
  • Previous knowledge: Handling a PC, image processing knowledge or VISOR® Basic training

VISOR® Identification

Identify parts with the VISOR® Code Reader

Do you need to identify a component based on a code or label?

In this training, you will learn everything you need to know-from the basics of common 1D and 2D codes to safely reading directly marked codes and securely evaluating quality parameters. How do you implement a code reader application with process reliability? After this training, you will know the answer. Additionally, reading plain text and processing strings will be discussed and practiced in a hands-on manner.

  • Target group: Integrators and maintenance staff with machine vision knowledge (e.g. through completed VISOR® Basic training).
  • Previous knowledge: Handling a PC, image processing knowledge or VISOR® Basic training
  • Products used: VISOR® Code Reader
  • Minimum number of participants: 2 people
VISOR® Positioning

VISOR® Positioning

Determine positions with the VISOR® Robotic

Do you want to bring a robotic application to life?

In this hands-on training, we will guide you step-by-step from image acquisition to precise robot movement. You will learn not only about setting up SensoPart components but also how to calibrate the camera coordinate system to match that of the robot. Additionally, we will familiarize you with robot-specific software functions of the VISOR® vision sensor that facilitate integration. Topics such as comprehensive communication with robots via standard interfaces and the use of function blocks from libraries will also be covered. Practical examples of robotic applications will complete the training.

  • Target group: Integrators and maintenance staff with machine vision knowledge (e.g. through completed VISOR® Basic training).
  • Previous knowledge: Handling a PC, image processing knowledge or VISOR® Basic training
  • Products used: VISOR® Robotic
  • Minimum number of participants: 2 people

The training takes place at our SensoPart  Headquarters in Gottenheim, Germany.
